SE to pre-load Def Jam tracks on Walkman

Sony Ericsson and The Carphone Warehouse are to offer a Walkman handset pre-loaded with Def Jam content.
The limited edition white and gold W910i and matching MPS 75 speakers will come with seven music tracks and six music videos, featuring artists such as Kanye West, Rihanna and Mariah Carey. Consumers will also be also able to enter a competition to win a special customised Walkman phone.
The partners claim it’s the first time a major record label has teamed up with a phone manufacturer to offer customers exclusive content from a number of artists on one label in the UK.
SE says 57 million Walkman handsets have been sold worldwide in two and a half years.
