Brightpod will offer UK mobile users games, video, social networking and IM.
Infinite Solutions Ltd (ISL) has thrown its hat into the ultra-competitive D2C content sector with a new portal called Brightpod.com.
The site, which is accessible online or via a Java app, offers videos, games, themes, applications and instant messaging (Yahoo, MSN).
ISL's strategy reflects that of the market's existing big hitters, Zed, Buongiorno and Jamster, who are moving heavily into 'web 2.0' content services that are accessible from both mobile and PC.
Brightpod payments and subscriptions can be made using credit card, PayPal, PayForIT or operator billing mechanisms.
Duncan Ward, ISL’s CEO, said: "Being able to use your existing instant messaging account on your mobile as if you were in front of your PC is very exciting and saves users swapping between sites. In addition we are able to offer the latest mobile content such as ringtones, games and applications at vastly lower costs than the leading providers."

Site looks slick and has bags of potential to go all the way .
Exisiting big hitters better watch out.
