Mobile browsers ubiquitous by 2013

Mobile browsers will ship in 1.5 billion phones units a year by 2013, says ABI Research.
The research firm says hi-spec ‘open’ browsers that support AJAX, RSS and other rich content, will account for the vast majority of growth over the next five years, growing from 76 million in 2007 to nearly 700 million in 2013.
ABI’s research director Michael Wolf said: "The most recent commercial solutions from Opera, Openwave and Access…are targeted towards allowing consumers to access content on the web without limitations due to browser constraints."
