Nokia’s share of global ad network impressions decreased by 2.5 per cent as US market grows.
AdMob has released stats from its mobile ad network for March, which show total impressions up 10 per cent to 2,553,018,899. Ad requests increased 11.8 per cent to 2,865,167,969.
Nokia’s share of global network impressions decreased by 2.5 per cent, which AdMob attributes to an increase in US share of network transactions (the US is one of Nokia's weaker markets for handset sales).
The stats also show Nokia losing 2.2 per cent of its US ad impressions share to Motorola and RIM.
Globally, iPhone traffic is now growing at the same pace as the rest of the AdMob network.
The company has also added the share of ad traffic by the handset screen size standards set by the Mobile Marketing Association for the first time. The full AdMob Mobile Advertising Report can be downloaded here.
Jason Spero, vice president marketing at AdMob, told ME: "The MMA screen size data is critical to developers for content planning. The English seem to like much larger phones than the rest of us."
