QuickPlay Media will use technology from Amobee to place ads in its mobile video offerings.
The deal builds on an earlier arrangement between the two companies that saw them offer ad-supported video content in partnership with Vodafone in Italy.
Amobee will work with advertising agencies to source the ads, as well as provide ad servers and ad selection based on available user profiles and contextual information.
Meanwhile, QuickPlay's OpenVideo content management platform will power streaming video and provide real-time video ad insertion.
Both companies say they will offer partners detailed reporting and metrics.
Wayne Purboo, president and CEO at QuickPlay Media, said: "Clearly, advertising will be a large part of the business model for mobile media and we, together with Amobee, look forward to further lowering the barrier to entry for consumers to enjoy mobile video services."
