Zamano doubles revenue to 24.7m euros

Ireland-based mobile content specialist prepares for converged services after bumper 2007.
Zamano has posted FY07 revenue of 24.7 million euros, up 100 per cent from the previous year. Net profit rose 18 per cent to reach 2.6 million euros.
During 2007 Zamano completed of two acquisitions: Eirborne (now the foundation of the group’s online and mobile portal B2C business) and Red Circle (boosting its presence in the UK and Australia and an entry point into US market).
The company has also strengthened its management team through the appointment of Colm Saunders as CFO and Cathal Fay as head of B2C.
Zamano says 2008 will see continued investment in R&D, focused on platform scaling, convergence of fixed line and mobile internet, and new forms of billing.
John O'Shea, CEO of Zamano, said: "2007 was a transformational year for zamano plc.
