N-Gage goes live at last

Nokia has launched its N-Gage gaming service, but a formal announcement won’t be till Monday.
As predicted by ME on Tuesday, Nokia has launched its next-gen N-Gage service.
However, Nokia’s own N-Gage blog has confirmed the service is live. N-Gage is, of course, a cornerstone of the company’s push into entertainment services. It was originally supposed to launch at around the same time as Nokia Music Store last December, but was delayed by technical glitches.
The gaming store is pre-loaded on N95, N81, N81 8GB, N82 and N95 8GB devices. Most major mobile games publishers, including Electronic Arts, Indiagames, Gameloft and Glu Mobile, have signed up.
Nokia said last month some 25-30 games titles would be available for N-Gage by mid-2008 and a similar number of titles would be unveiled during the second half of the year.
