The word on the Vegas streets is that Nokia is going to take the wraps off N-Gage this week
Several well-placed sources have hinted that this is the week Nokia will give its next-gen N-Gage platform a full commercial launch.
Whether the Finnish company will use CTIA Wireless as a platform for the launch is uncertain (it usually favours its own events for such unveilings), but the rumours follow last week's admission via Nokia's official games blog that an announcement was due 'in the next few weeks'.
The new smartphone games platform, which was originally due to launch last autumn, has so far only been made available in a 'pre-release' form containing game demos.
Of course the rumours could just be a load of excitable convention hot air, but you never know.
I think the n-gage company making fun of us. since November 2007 used to say will launch in December. then they company decided to release the games early 2008.
obviously, now already late for the year of 2008. and the month is April 08 which still not released yet.
If they will not release this month as well. This means the company of n-gage will never ever be successful. So the next generation games, I considered the company may be fail again like last three years.
Heh, I hardly doubt that the service will launch THIS week when the blog said that it would happen a few weeks after beta had ended. Better to not keep your hopes up.
And don't be so impatient, mo_n95. What has happened here is perfectly normal I'd say: things sometimes get delayed and that's just how things works in this business. Can't expect them to release something that's not fully operational, hm? Only _they_ know what problems they've been running into since the project started - and especially during First Access when they let so many people into testing.
Give it time and try to be more forgiving. No one enjoys waiting for something, be it a game or service or whatever. But crying about it ain't gonna help and I know _I_ wouldn't exactly enjoy taking **** from impatient people if I was on a team that had to postpone the launch of something just because we felt that it wasn't ready yet...
The new N-Gage platform will be out when it's ready and until then there's not much else to do but wait. I suggest you discuss the launch on forums and with friends to help pass the time, or why not even purchase a game and have some fun with that?
I knew that I don't be so impatient, ConraDargo. I passed my time with other games as well such as Assassin creed on PC and many more games I played.
But a bit will be exciting if you are playing in hand held phone like Nokia N95, so free time but I like to play game in this phone. N-Gage best ever graphic games made for n-series phone that's why I like. I understand that you saying, they have been running into since the project started and then they released first access for N81 users to test them. Later the n-gage received so many feedback from these users.
They used to say that n-game full launch shall be out soon. the best idea for them, they should predict or to make a plan for what they are actually running for n-gage. If the company created a plan for n-gage then easily can be launch by the week or month. or If no plan created yet, but they shall be behind always.
