A new picture blogging service for mobile, called NowThen, launched today.

The free service lets users instantly share and store camera phone pictures, saving them to an online journal, and alerting friends, family and even the NowThen community when new shots are uploaded. Users can send a photo and a short caption to as many people as they wish for the price of a single MMS. Images can also be uploaded via PC. Over 2,000 people have signed up and are actively using the site.

Erin Laye, web creative manager of NowThen, said: “Pictures are a universal language, they communicate a thousand words in the blink of an eye – and that’s what NowThen is all about.

While a digital camera allows you to compose and plan your shot, a camera phone is always on-hand to quickly snap those off-the-cuff moments that say more about you as a person. NowThen has opened up a forum for all the weird and wonderful moments that are happening across the world.”
