Vivendi aims to gather 500,000 subscribers to its new Zaoza content service.

Zaoza will offer exclusive content for mobile and PC for a monthly subscription fee of 3 euros. It will launch in France next month, Germany in the summer and the UK by the end of 2008.

The service will allow unlimited downloads of games, music, ringtones and videos. Even though Vivendi has its own mobile publishing units, it will offer content from other publishers, too including Sony BMG for music, Eidos and THQ.

Predictably there will be strong community elements in the site. Users’ friends can sign up for shared content, and can share if the DRM permits.
