MWC: mBlox to WAP bill the planet

MBlox has teamed with Valista to launch a global WAP billing platform.
The solution, powered by Valista’s ValistaPlus Payments system, offers a uniform global interface so that content and service providers can quickly scale their services as mBlox rolls out WAP services in other territories.
It will launch initially in the UK where it is accredited under the cross-operator Payforit scheme.
mBlox says its UK deployment will bring enhanced billing benefits to providers including MSISDN Aliasing for identifying and tracking repeat visitors and cross-carrier Adult Verification for reliable consumer protection.

MBox is very late to market with this. Other providers like Ericsson IPX have been providing International WAP billing in arround 23 markets via global APIs for several years and has many live Payforit services launched Cross Network in the UK.

Is this a non-story? All aggregators now need to provide a WAP billing flow in the UK as part of the Payforit standard - it's been mandated by the Operators based on a billing flow that other payment providers (e.g. Bango, IPX) have been offering for years...
Really not sure what mBlox/Valista is trying to say or claim here...
