New CEO at Jamba

Mauro Montanaro is the new CEO of Jamba, replacing Lucy Hood, who left in October.
He joins Jamba from Nokia, where he spent 10 years serving in a variety of key positions in the South East Asia Pacific region – most recently as head of cell phone sales and channel development. Montanaro starts his new job on February 4th.
The appointment should bring some much-needed stability to Jamba. The NewsCorp-owned D2C company lost Hood and chief sales officer Marcus Berger-de Leon inside one week in October, leaving COO Lee Fenton to take charge until a new CEO was found.
Montanaro said: “I am thrilled to be joining Jamba at a point in its evolution where we have a real opportunity to influence the future of mobile entertainment. The global market for wireless entertainment is exploding and we have the unique ability to produce, market and distribute mobile content and services globally. It’s an enviable position and I look forward to working closely with Lee and the teams in Los Angeles, Berlin and around the world to capitalise on it.”
