Transpera gets a big Break in mobile video

Transpera is to provide mobile access to the video content offered by ‘men’s entertainment channel’ Break.com

Break.com describes itself as a cross-platform, digital entertainment network offering funny, original short-form free videos and 18 million unique monthly browsers. With this new partnership it will make its content accessible by mobile and offer users community features such as “Send-to-Mobile” and “Send to a Friend,” as well as the ability to rank videos and mark favourites.

Transpera provides video content and brand owners with the ability to mobilise and distribute video to mobile users based on their interests and communities and enhance on-deck video offerings for network operators and provide brand owners. It also offers a targeted advertising platform, which creates another means for Break.com to monetize its young, male demographic.

“This agreement demonstrates the sea change in the mobile industry and showcases the opportunity for content providers to reach a greater audience via the consumers’ most frequently used channel: the mobile device,” said Frank Barbieri, CEO of Transpera.
