Gamevil has teamed with drinks giant Coke and Korean snack company Haitai to puts ads in Baseball Superstars 2008.
The two brands feature on in-game billboard hoardings, with ad placements revolving on a monthly basis by virtue of Gamevil's connected platform.
Gamevil believes the volumes its games generate - Baseball Superstars 2008 has already been downloaded 500,000 times in Korea - will attract advertisers.
The publisher is also benefitting from exposure through its partner channels, with Haitai plugging the game on 15 million packets of its Homerun Ball snack.
Stephanie Huang, marketing manager of Gamevil USA, said: "In-game advertising is just one of the first steps to a rising trend that is already becoming more prevalent as companies begin to turn their attention to reaching out to consumers on the mobile platform."
