Sign up for mobile signatures

UK D2C company Mobile Fun is working on a new content category – the limited edition mobile celebrity autograph.
It says mobiles can already be autographed online by historical figures like Lenin, Dickens, Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde from $10. Even Stalin and Mao are on the list, although one wonders who would want a murdering despot’s signature for their wallpaper.
Mobile Fun is also actively testing a more complicated system that allows modern celebs to sell limited editions of their autographs online for mobile and iPod. It says they could be priced as high as $25,000.00 each.
"Modern mobile phones have enough memory for avid autograph collectors to carry up to 10,000 copyright-protected autographs in their back pocket", said Simon Aston premium autographs system product manager of Mobile Fun.
"We already have lots of top-famous actors, sportsmen and even politicians, ready and waiting to use our system to sell their autographs for tens of thousands pounds," added Ruslan G Fedorovsky, Mobile Fun’s head of mobile.
