Motorola has expanded its ROKR family of music phones with the touchscreen E8 device and a bunch of peripherals.
Features built into the ROKR E8 include:
· ModeShift technology that transforms the device from phone to music player with one button press
· Haptics technology provides tactile response when a virtual key is pressed
· FastScroll navigation wheel allows for scrolling through thousands of songs with the slide of a thumb
· Windows Media Player compatibility for song transfer via the PC
When powered off, ROKR has no visible keys.
Powered on, it presents a virtual numbered keypad that displays music controls – play, pause, fast forward and rewind – when the music key is pressed.
E8 also marks the debut of the new FastScroll navigaton wheel from Motorola lets consumers scroll through all of the content stored on the device. It also comprises FM radio, Song ID, 2GB internal memory and microSD card slot.
To support the launch Moto has also unveiled new wireless speakers and Bluetooth headset.
