Adult specialist Cherry Media has tweaked its business model to produce a 64 per cent increase in new partnerships in Q4 2007.
Its focus on providing a white-label managed service for operator adult portals (in addition to offering carriers a branded Cherrysauce offering) has delivered expansion in territories such as the UK, Germany, South Africa, Turkey, Portugal, Serbia, Croatia and numerous South American countries.
Much of this expansion has been driven by the appointment of David Jarvis as strategic commercial director for EMEA, Australasia and Asia-Pacific. Industry veteran Jarvis was part of the start-up management team for the mobile entertainment portal Vizzavi (now Vodafone Live!) and helped Private Media Group drive into mobile.
Cherry Media has also hired Sito Roso as general manager of Cherrysauce, with operational responsibility of the brand.
Founder Julia Dimambro now becomes MD of Cherry Media Holdings whilst maintaining all existing company shareholding.
Dimambro said: “The demand for end-to-end mobile and digital media services is growing at an incredible rate. We are receiving multiple requests on a daily basis from a very diverse range of companies and organisations that recognise the value of the mobile market and seek an experienced, specialist company that can help acquire, convert and retain consumers with compelling marketing and entertainment solutions”
