Orange launches on-device games shop

Orange Group has begun rolling out an on-device games portal powered by Mobile Scope.
Portal Booster will be deployed as essentially the Orange Games catalogue made available direct from the handset, and using the Group's signature graphic design. It’s being made available first on the Sony Ericsson W910i and K850i in France and the UK.
The aim is to address the issue of discovery and trialling that is widely believed to be holding back the growth of mobile gaming.
It also marks the further rehabilitation of In-Fusio, the one time leader of the mobile games business, which owns Mobile Scope and has been trying to get its handset portal solution moving for years.
