India-based content giant Hungama has purchased its compatriot company Astute Systems.
Like Hungama, Astute serves up content products including games, wallpapers, video clips and ringtones to Indian operators such as Reliance, Tata, Hutch and Airtel. It is especially active in content with a spiritual theme, launching the popular Daily Prayers series of apps with Tata Teleservices. Astute also works with brands on mobile marketing campaigns.
The acquisition increases Hungama’s huge footprint in one of the world’s fastest growing mobile content regions.
It keeps up the momentum after a busy period in which Hungama launched a 24 hour made-for-mobile Bollywood Mobile TV channel with Maxis in Malaysia. Meanwhile its Bollywood-centric WAP portal is now live in 32 countries with over 70 carriers worldwide. Hungama is currently extending this channel the wired internet and IPTV platforms too to take advantage of operator moves into ‘triple play’ services.

Hi I not know why humgama take this decision about astute, it is very bad company it never treat emps good , infect there is a plus point about company, they people only want to take not want to give, worked here, and u all get to know that u r working in hell, never expect about ur salary, and by the God grace if u resign from there, then forgot about that month salary, so thought if humgama take this decision about astute first they should get to know that they r paying to emps or not, I m one of them list, those r still seeking for their salary. So always think about astute, when u r going to do any thing else with them.
