Nokia’s N95 has a strong argument for being king of smartphones: it’s sold one million in the UK alone
The device is the most feature rich of all Nokia’s Nseries ‘multimedia computers’, with in-built GPS, a five megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Wi-Fi connectivity and music player. It’s available in 4GB and 8GB versions, both of which are with the newly launched Nokia Music Store.
The N95 has been available since April. Comparisons with the iPhone will be inevitable and it will be interesting to see how many units Apple sells buy the time it too has been out for seven months. O2 is forecasting 200,000 by Christmas, just shy of two months after launch.
Andrew Connell, head of multimedia at Nokia UK, said: “The Nokia N95 has more than lived up to the hype around its launch as one of the must-have gadgets this year – sealed by hitting the one million sales mark. The N95 not only looks good, but also packs a punch by delivering on a groundbreaking features set that takes mobile communication to a new level in convergence devices.”
