German operator offering unlocked iPhone for 999 euros following court ruling.

That's a whopping £720/$1,480 and compares to the 399 euros T-Mobile offered at launch.

The operator has also dropped the 24-month contract it had originally stuck to the Apple device, after a Hamburg court agreed with Vodafone's view that such a policy was anti-competitive.

The iPhone is now available in Germany SIM-free, though T-Mobile is telling customers that other operators do not support all the device features that it currently does as Apple official partner.
