New Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie film gets the mobile game treatment.
I-play has expanded its partnership with Universal Pictures to develop and distribute a mobile game based on new film, Wanted.
According to I-play, the game will feature unique character movement and gaming physics. The launch is planned to coincide with the film release in early 2008, starring James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.
"We are hugely excited to be chosen to take one of Universal's prized licences for 2008 to mobile," said David Gosen, president of I-play.
"Our heritage for creating groundbreaking concepts in mobile gaming has been proven many times before, and we look forward to re-writing the rules of gaming with Wanted."
Jeremy Laws, SVP of Universal Mobile Entertainment, added: "I-play's passion and expertise in this arena, combined with our track record of creating and marketing mobile games based on our signature motion picture brands makes this collaboration particularly compelling."
In a separate deal, mPortico has secured an exclusive distribution agreement to deliver I-play’s games and video content, including Hollywood Movie Minutes and Daniel Negreanu Win at Texas Hold Em via its EZ-XS miniSD platform.
