Dogmob descends on Battersea

World famous dogs home teams with Mobstar for charity mobile content.
Dog lovers can now visit Dogmob.co.uk to adopt an animal and then download related images, screensavers, wallpapers, ringtones and ‘thank you’ video messages featuring Battersea Dogs currently looking for homes.
Users text the name of the dog they want to adopt to 80011 from a choice of four updated regularly as they find homes. They are then sent a link to a Mobstar-developed WAP site where they can download the content.
Customers can also register for free news updates about their adopted dog.
It costs £3 to adopt each dog (including content), with all profits going straight to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Mobstar says an equivalent service for cats is in the pipeline.
Fiona Healey-Hutchinson, director of fundraising at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, said: "Many dog lovers can’t own a dog and wonder how they can support our work. DOogmob.co.uk is a wonderful new way for them to ‘adopt’ a real animal, to help pay for its upkeep and to have wonderful, colourful and cute content on their mobile phone."
Jamie Goldblatt, Mobstar Media’s MD, said: "Mobstar provides top selling mobile phone content for networks and brands across the world. Dogmob is our chance to make our content work for a good cause. We’re delighted to be involved with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and we hope Dogmob is a huge success for them."
