Sybase 365 has launched a new MMS content delivery gateway, MMS 365.
The system sends and receives MMS from multiple sources so that users can deliver multimedia messages to consumers’ handsets, globally, with a single connection. Sybase is aiming the platform at content providers, marketers, and media companies.
MMS 365 supports all popular types of rich content including photos, graphics, audio, video, alerts, ringtones, and wallpaper.
MMS 365 has connections to more than 700 global operators.
The company’s investment in MMS comes at a time of fast growth in the sector. Sybase 365 says MMS message delivery has increased for 11 consecutive quarters in the US and that, by the end of 2007, it will have processed over one billion messages since it launched the service in 2005.
