I-play releases third game based on the BBC quiz show.

The Weakest Link 2008 is now on operator decks in the UK and the US, where the TV show attracts three million and six million viewers, respectively.

The game is based on the official BBC Worldwide license and includes 1,500 questions across six categories. It also includes animated character avatars and a more advanced AI, which I-play says makes the infamous "you're the weakest link, goodbye!" voting-off aspect more strategic.

BBC Worldwide is ramping its mobile operators under the guidance of MobiTV vet Peter Mercier, who spoke to ME recently.

I-play president David Gosen said: "This casual, trivia title has had a huge following in Europe and North America already, and successfully combines a stimulating mental challenge with compelling mobile fun, which should make it another hit."
