Glu unveils new heroine

The mobile games industry gets a first taste of Phoenix Shadowalker.
What is it with heroes that walk? First we had Luke Skywalker. Then came Walker, Texas Ranger. Now there's Phoenix Shadowalker.
The latter is Glu Mobile's latest original creation and one that the US-based mobile games publisher ultimately hopes will become a franchise and give Eidos's older and more experienced Lara Croft a bit of healthy competition.
Phoenix Shadowalker is in the final stages of development, but Glu is already drumming up scantily-clad marketing imagery for the game, which debuts amid heightened Lara interest on account of Tomb Raider's tenth anniversary.
Indeed, Eidos New Media will be releasing its own Tomb Raider: Anniversary Edition mobile game in time for Christmas.
Phoenix Shadowalker comrpises 20 levels of hack 'em and slash 'em adventuring gameplay.
