Classic TV shows like Diff'rent Strokes will be chopped to five minutes and sold on Verizon.
The US operator has teamed with Sony Pictures to launch The Minisode Network on V CAST. It will offer four to six minute versions of the studio's classic television shows.
The Minisode Network originally launched in June 2007 on MySpace and quickly took off online, amassing over 3.25 million views in its first four months.
The minisodes retain the full story arc of each episode offered.
Customers with V CAST-enabled phones pay $3 for 24-hour use or by signing up for the $15.00 V CAST VPak monthly subscription.
