US D2C frontrunner Thumbplay will provide its content to AOL.

The company has been selected to deliver ringtones and wallpapers across the AOL network, which reaches 114 million unique visitors a month in the US. It includes internet destinations such as AOL.com, AOL Music, AOL Games, the AIM instant messaging service, Winamp, and Spinner.

Thumbplay content will also be integrated within the new AOL Mobile online destination, which provides consumers with information on handset-specific content and services.
