The music sharing service Social.FM will support the Symbian smartphone operating system.
A new native Symbian C++ version has just been announced by Social.FM to give users a faster and more responsive mobile music ‘experience’. It’s aimed at phones based on the UIQ and S60 Symbian derivatives.
Social.FM lets users access music libraries stored on their PCs, as well as the socially-connected music libraries of friends and family, via the mobile.
It also provides access to thousands of digital radio channels and streaming podcasts from leading media sources.
Srivats Sampath, CEO of Social.FM, said: "By supporting Symbian OS, we can
expand our Social.FM music service and strengthen our relationships with Symbian
smartphone manufacturers and mobile network operators."
