Mspot and Def Jam have teamed to launch an urban music mobile radio service.
IDJ Radio will stream six channels and on-demand content from both Def Jam acts and artists from other urban labels.
The project is the fruit of a two-year development deal between mobile radio specialist Mspot and the record label.
IDJ radio will be available as part of a subscription package from one US operator at launch, to be confirmed at the CTIA trade show in two weeks time.
Mpsot services are already live with Sprint, Boost, US Cellular, Telus and Bell Mobility.
