Nissan to offer branded game and wallpapers in US car campaign.
The new Nissan Rogue will be supported by a direct-to-consumer mobile content offering, which people can access through banner ads on websites. They can then enter their mobile number into the ad and click 'submit' to begin the download, without having to specify which operator they are using etc.
The campaign has been developed by MangoMobile and Tequila, with the Nissan Rogue-branded game offering up community features and a mechanism through which Nissan can measure the response (presumably how often the game is downloaded, played and by who).
Rogue wallpapers will also be available for download.
Robert Brown, senior manager of interactive marketing Nissan North America, said: "While the mobile medium is a perfect fit for the Nissan Rogue brand, we knew that we had to make it easy for consumers to discover and ultimately acquire the Rogue mobile content. We achieve this by combining the broad reach of the online medium with the simplicity of our new 'Online2Mobile' rich media ad units."
