British Telecom's managed solutions spin-off opens US office, targets operators
iO Global, the mobile content management and delivery specialist born out of BT's Research Labs, has set up shop in New York.
The company says it's already working with several unnamed operators in EMEA territories and is now targeting US carriers and media companies that want to launch multi-platform ad-funded content and marketing services.
Martin Knestrick, CEO of iO global, said: "The team has a deep understanding of key issues shaping and driving the North American marketing and advertising industries and is thus able to embrace the vast, untapped potential of mobile marketing. Personalisation and metrics are more than buzz words to us – they are an integral part of our solution."
iO and its flagship Mobile Experience Platform was created in May 2005 by BT and New Venture Partners after five years of development in BT’s Research Laboratories.
