BBC Radio Intl. licenses In Concert series to Liquid Air's spodtronic live! portal.
The deal between the BBC Worldwide subsidiary and Germany-based Liquid Air means more than a thousand gigs will be available for audio streaming from the spodtronic live! web portal and mobile client.
The library includes Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, AC/DC, Coldplay, Muse, Chemical Brothers, The Killers, Avril Lavigne, The Who, Mika, Kasabian and Take That.
Liquid Air says it will launch the spodtronic live! radio service with mobile operators in the coming months, targeting one exclusive deal each in 20 European countries (excluding the UK), then aiming to extend the service to the US and Canada.
Right now the service is also directly on the company’s live music radio portal for a 5.99 euros/month online/mobile subscription.
