Mobestar is taking the UK gay dating site Gaydar mobile.
The mobile community specialist has created a phone interface that replicates the look and feel of Gaydar.co.uk, giving its 1.6 million users the ability to access location-based services and change user profiles and preferences while on the go. It also helps Gaydar to target users with bespoke marketing and services according to their geographic location.
The service, created using Mobestar’s mDate solution, integrates with the existing web service, is available via any network and optimised for over 9,500 handsets.
Trevor Martin, sales and marketing director for Gaydar.co.uk, said: “Our users have embraced mobile phone technology and it was important for us to implement a mobile platform that allows them to access the key features of Gaydar.co.uk at any time and in any place. Mobestar was able to provide a solution that delivers all that and more and provides QSoft with a potentially significant revenue generating opportunity.”
