Konami extends commitment to mobile with original content for the US.
The Japanese video-game publisher has taken its classic brand Castlevania and conjured up a new made-for-mobile title.
Castlevania: Order of Shadows will be available on September 18th on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless decks.
Konami promises the game will include 'never-before-seen' gameplay, storyline features and original music. It was developed in collaboration with original Castlevania franchise mastermind Koji Igarashi.
And there's more to come - Konami says original made-for-mobile imaginings of Metal Gear Solid and Contra are in the pipeline.
The company is also supporting its mobile games with a 'Developer's Corner' on its website.
It will feature a blog written by Castlevania: Order of Shadows' lead game designer Tyrone Rodriguez, discussing the title and Konami's aspirations for improving mobile gaming experiences. Also featured on the website will be mobile game emulators as well as artwork and video.
Joe Morris, VP of Konami Mobile, said: "As a worldwide leader in high quality, multi-platform videogames, Konami is looking to raise the entertainment standard of games for mobile phones. Mobile technology has exploded, providing powerful new tools to enhance today's mobile gaming experiences."
