LG Electronics' YouTube phone has been unveiled: it's the wonderfully named Viewty.
The Korean handset maker announced plans to launch the 5.1 megapixel Viewty (LG KU990) with multiple operators later this year. The device will be formally revealed during IFA 2007 in Berlin at the end of August.
The LG Viewty is the Youtube phone, which was first talked about earlier this summer. It is the first handset to support 120 fps video recording and comprises a single-click connection to YouTube for uploads.
The touchscreen handset is superficially similar to the Prada, which LG launched earlier this year.
However, it is clearly being sold on its imaging capabilities and styling. Features include manual focus, image stabiliser and extensive editing functions.
Dr. Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Mobile, said: “The LG Black Label Series and our collaboration with Prada have cemented our position as an innovator in design and style. With the launch of the new LG Viewty we are now also proving our commitment to technical enhancement.”
