3 UK is the first operator in Europe to offer Hands-On's multiplayer poker.
World Poker Tour Texas Hold ‘Em 2 will be sold by 3 as a £1.99 monthly subscription. It's a 'play for fun' game, with no real money involved.
The release marks the first time publisher Hands-On has brought a multiplayer version of its WPT franchise to Europe. The game spec includes includes web-to-wireless multiplayer, the ability to create private tables and games, customisable avatars, chat, IM lists and regular tournaments.
The original WPT Texas Hold ‘Em game has enjoyed huge success in the US market - 200,000 multiplayer hands are played each week, with around 10,000 unique users playing each day.
The average user plays for four hours per month and overall the game has been downloaded 3.6 million times.
