8GB N95: Not an N95?

ME understands that the rumoured 8GB N95 may not be an N95 at all.
Despite strong reports - complete with 'prototype' pictures - that Nokia will be introducing a new version of its flagship N95 device sporting 8GB of internal memory, it appears the company is yet to decide on a moniker for it.
According to sources, it's quite possible that the device will in fact be badged as an N96, as opposed to N95i or whatever.
The N95 originally shipped with just 128MB of on-board memory, so anyone wishing to load it up with music and video etc would have to do so using a microSD card
Indeed, the N95 is turning into somewhat of a moveable feast - last week, it emerged that the US is to get a new version of the device with a bigger battery and more RAM.
More details of what may or may not be an N96 are expected to emerge on August 29th, when Nokia will unveil the next stage of its multimedia strategy, which is widely expected to include a full-track music download service.
