Turkey’s Akiza is rolling out a batch of Islamic apps to co-incide with Ramadan.
The company, which is better known as a publisher of more than 25 mobile games, has developed 12 content products aimed at Muslims preparing for Islam’s holiest month. They’re available in English, French, Turkish and Arabic.
The apps include a mobile version of The Quran, a Qiblah compass, information about the hajj ritual, rules of salah worship, the 40 hadiths of Mohammed and more.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic Lunar calendar and the holiest of the four holy months. During it, Muslims abstain from food, drink, gum chewing, any kind of tobacco use, and any kind of sexual contact between dawn and sunset. It begins in the middle of September.
