Vogue, Economist, Esquire and GQ magazines to go live with KTF later this year
Thirteen million KTF subscribers in South Korea will be able to access their favorite magazines through their phones from October 1st, courtesy of an on-device service from Scotland-based Picsel Technologies.
The mobile magazine service will form part of the operator's new SHOW initiative, which offers content that can either be pushed to handsets overnight or requested as real time downloads.
Picsel will also provide editing tools and its server based solution, allowing content providers to receive requests from subscribers and process them in real time. The service will support Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability (WIPI C) complaint handsets.
Over the last year, content providers including Associated Press, Informa Telecoms & Media, PriceRunner UK and Yankee Group have worked in partnership have used Picsel's technology to deliver on-device portals.
