Indian telecoms giant hints at Google Mobile services after striking fixed line deal.
The Register reports that Bharti Airtel's recent deal to provide its broadband subscribers with Google apps will extended to mobile.
The broadband agreement means Airtel customers will have access to Google Search, Gmail, Google Talk and Google Docs & Spreadsheets.
But The Register cites a Business Standard report from Monday's press conference in which Shailesh Rao, MD at Google India, said that the alliance would soon put Google apps onto Airtel mobile phones.
Google is ramping its mobile activities fast - in addition to the ongoing Gphone rumours, it recently launched search and mapping with 3UK, is trialing a mobile version of Adsense, developing a mobile content search box, is building out YouTube mobile services and is offering various products within US operator Sprint's new WiMAX portal.
