Skype users can now use SpinVox to convert their voice messages to text.
The agreement means Skype users can have all their messages delivered to their mobiles when they are away from their PCs. The service will be available in English, Spanish, French and German at launch.
SpinVox’s Voice-to-Screen products convert any voice message into text and deliver it to any screen, whether mobile, PC, BlackBerry or PDA. The deal with Skype extends the company’s reach from mobile to VoIP.
SpinVox reaches any cellphone, so Skype users will not need to download new software onto their phone to benefit from the voice-to-text messaging service.
The deal marks another important landmark for SpinVox, which expects to conclude least 12 operator and internet deals this year to reach a potential six million subscribers.
