O2 Germany has teamed up with Muze to offer subscription-based mobile music.
The new service will make available both downloads and an all-you-can-eat subscription to both mobile and PC. It also supports progressive playback, which allows users to start listening as the download is completed. O2 has done a deal with MTV so that subscribers can download MTV's Top Ten tracks for the week
Muze will power the service, offering search, discovery, and download functions through its Open Media Exchange solution.
Lars Dueysen, head of music data services and portals for O2 Music, said: "We view digital entertainment as a competitive advantage in our marketplace and our new programme is an exciting avenue for growth."
