Forget Hello Kitty, Chinese mobile users can download images of genuine military mayhem
According to the Xinhua news agency, subscribers to China Unicom are being offered clips of the Korean War and military anthems to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army. The service costs about $1 a month.
The company has more than 300,000 pictures of weapons and military figures in its database along with clips movies such as Battle for Berlin, Normandy Invasion and Shang Ganling.
Customers will even be able to get military news sent direct from the army's own newspaper
