iDev Entertainment has partnered with Lastminute.com to offer a phrase book for iPhone.
The free Coolgorilla app - already available for Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones - provides text and audio translations in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German, with a Greek version to follow shortly.
It can be downloaded from the Coolgorilla web and .mobi sites.
Lastminute.com says the app is essentially a value-added advertising offer for its existing and potential customers.
Roy Forsdick, managing director of iDev Entertainment, said: "As part of our ongoing mission to provide free quality translation tools to the increasing number of mobile surfers, developing an iPhone version was a must."
