Segestrale leaves Glu Mobile as Jill Braff and Alex Galvagni earn promotions.
Kristian Segerstrale has left his role as managing director of EMEA at games publisher Glu Mobile.
Segerstrale was previously a founder of Macrospace, the London-based studio acquired by Glu in 2004.
ME understands the parting of the way is entirely amicable, with the well-respected Segerstrale wishing to chew on pastures new. This was reflected in a statement from Glu CEO Greg Ballard, who said:
"I want to personally thank Kristian for his contributions to Glu’s success. The company has come a long way since Sorrent acquired Macrospace and the two companies combined to form Glu. Kristian has played an important role in our development and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
Meanwhile, Jill Braff, who formerly held the position of SVP of worldwide marketing and GM of the Americas at Glu has been named SVP of global publishing, overseeing the company’s licensing, marketing and sales efforts worldwide.
At the same time Alex Galvagni, the company’s CTO, has been handed the title of SVP of global development, responsible for Glu's product development, technology services, porting and deployment.
Glu says the new roles were created in order to 'increase efficiency in sharing best practices of Glu’s teams worldwide while increasing the focus of the company’s nine regional offices around the world'.
The announcements follow the recent news of the opening of Glu’s development studio in Beijing and offices in Italy and Spain.
