The Mobile Entertainment Forum Americas has confirmed details of its first MEFCON conference.
The two-day event kicks off on September 10th in Los Angeles and represents the first time the MEF has struck out on its own in terms of conference organising.
MEFCON has a straightforward aim according to the MEF - to bring together the Hollywood film and television industries and the mobile community.
A call for speakers is currently under way for all MEFCON sessions, with any suggestions to be submitted to MEF Americas general manager Karen Allen by July 13th.
Ted Cohen, MEF Americas chairman and managing partner at TAG Strategic, said: "At MEFCON, we’ll take a look into where mobile entertainment is headed and discuss what we as an industry need to accomplish to get there. We’ve planned two days of informative, engaging and fun sessions and look forward to seeing you there."
A second conference - MEFLive! - is being put together by MEF Asia and will be held in Hong Kong on December 3rd-4th.
