MEF unveils Global board, conferences

Sony Pictures, Dada and Picsel are the new faces on the Mobile Entertainment Forum's newly elected Global board. The organisation has also announced two new self-produced conferences.

At elections held at the MEM trade show in Monte Carlo earlier this month, Marco Argenti, managing director at Dada, Graeme Ferguson, managing director of Picsel's global content division and Jason Wells, SVP of mobile entertainment at Sony Pictures Television International were voted onto the board.

Meanwhile, Amobee Media Systems CMO Patrick Parodi and mBlox executive chairman Andrew Bud were re-elected as chair and vice chair of the board, respectively.

Existing members of the MEF Global board are:

Stefan Rust, director corporate development, Sun, & MEF Asia Chair

Matt West, VP mobile media, Alcatel-Lucent

For the next 12 months the new look line-up will focus on issues such as user experience, mobile search, communities and ad-funding,as well as lobbying on issues of regulation and policy.

MEF Americas and MEF Asia have also announced two new locally-themed conferences: MEFCON will take place in Los Angeles on September 10th-11th
and MEFLive! will be held in Hong Kong on December 3rd-4th.
