InfoSpace has formally launched its mCore Mobile Services Platform, which rolls up content delivery and search services for operators in one hit.
mCore powers a ‘mobile media experience’ comprising search, storefronts, portals and messaging. The idea is to make the user experience by delivering a unified, interface across all data services, while managing costs for the network. Carriers can deploy the back-end technologies into their existing infrastructure in part or as a whole.
Steve Elfman, executive VP of InfoSpace’s mobile business unit, said: “Both carriers and mobile users are tired of dealing with multiple technologies and interfaces when it comes to information and content on the mobile phone.
mCore resolves those issues for the industry by delivering a solution that is intelligent for the users and easy for carriers to integrate.”
InfoSpace recently announced that Virgin Mobile has deployed the full suite of mCore Platform services. Several more partners have announced plans to deploy in the next few months.
