MobiTV and Sony BMG make sweet music content

MobiTV has added more than 2,500 music videos from Sony BMG. The partners are also working on new programming, with the first subject being Avril Lavigne.
The music video additions will give viewers access to over 7,000 tracks. The made-for-mobile channels content will range from long-form concerts to genre and artist-driven shows and series. Some shows will be available for an additional fee. Some will be created by the artists themselves.
The first one is a mobile site called Avril TV created by Avril Lavigne. It will include the singer’s video back catalogue, made-for-mobile versions of Avril’s Make 5 Wishes comic book biography, a photo gallery, and links to buy ringtones, ring back tones, screensavers and more are also available.
The link to the WAP site is available through Avril’s website, MySpace page and distributed to her fan-base via SMS and email blast.
